What is a flush mount style album? A flush mount style
album is an album where image layouts are created digitally and are printed
directly to the album pages in spreads (two facing pages). These spreads are
folded (images facing in) and adhered together, with or without a page
stiffener, to create the album block. When: Early Spring 2010 Where: Virginia Beach, Virginia Presented by: Jacqueline Poutasse,
TJPhoto and Book Arts, LLC Investment : The cost of the two day flush mount album and box
making workshop and retreat is $395 per person and includes a spiral bound manual, all materials
needed (except photo spreads) as well as lunch and drinks both days. The
workshop fee also includes email and phone support after the workshop for as
long as you need it as well as access to a private forum where you can share
notes, ask questions and chat with your fellow classmates. Who is this workshop for? : This workshop is for working
photographers who are interested in creating their own albums so that they
may offer a unique product to their clients, as well as binders looking to
add an additional service to their bindery that would benefit photographers
in their area. Flush mount style albums are also a great way for artists to
present their work when submitting portfolios to prospective clients. What will I learn? : The emphasis of this class will
be on learning how to make your own unique custom albums with a minimal
amount of equipment. No prior bookmaking experience is required. Do I need to bring anything? : Students will need to provide
their own photo spreads. Details will be included with the registration
information that will be sent out three weeks prior to the workshop. *Please
note that bookbinders wanting to take the workshop may use blank pages as a
substitute for the printed spreads.
