I teach one on one classes and workshops in my studio in book and album making. Classes can be tailored to the style of binding you wish to learn or a specific project you have in mind. I also teach group workshops and can come to your location. Please email me for more information.
This is a list of my upcoming book arts related classes I am offering in the Hampton Roads area Winter/Spring 2008. Classes are listed by the date they are offered:
Sat. May 24, 2008 from 1pm-4pm at Jerry's Artarama in Virginia Beach Small Hardcover Journal/Sketchbook Class fee is $65 includes all materials. Call Jerry's to get placed on the class list.
Class description: Create a unique handmade book suitable for sketching, watercolor painting, journaling and more. Students will learn about basic bookbinding techniques and no special tools or equipment are needed. All materials needed for making more books at home can be gathered locally. Students will take home a finished project as well as the instructions and skills to create more books on thier own.

Class description: Create a unique handmade sketchbook suitable for sketching, watercolor painting, journaling and more. Students will learn about bookbinding techniques and will learn how to prepare fabric for bookcovers as well as how to create simple headbands. No special tools or equipment are needed and all materials can be gathered locally. Students will take home a finished project as well as the instructions and skills to create more at home.
