Day 2…

Filed under: General — jackie @ 7:57 am

Good morning all.

The first day of the birthday celebration was a success. We had over 300 visitors to this little site yesterday.

I hope everyone that visited enjoyed the interview with Keith Smith. I just want to thank him again for being kind enough to answer my questions and send along the great photos of his work to go along with his answers.

Over the next few weeks I will be posting an interview with photographer John Michael Cooper who makes his own unique custom books and albums for his clients. I will also have an interview with David Lanning and Roger Barlee of J. Hewitt & Sons, Ltd. These are the fellows that produce that yummy bookbinding leather that we all dream about using on our books. Stay tuned.

Please don’t be shy about commenting or shooting me an email to sign up for the prize drawings. Even though we had so many folks stop by yesterday only a handful of people signed up.  Also, I know I’ve had some international visitors. Please say hi and let me know where you are from.

Don’t forget I have a flickr group set up for you all to show off your books. Please feel free to post works in progress as well as finished works.

Got a suggestion about what you’d like to see on this site? Shoot me an email and let me know.

Just a quick note for anyone who lives in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, please check out my class schedule regularly as I’ve got a few new classes coming up and will be posting info on them when I get the dates finalized.

  1. Great interview yesterday. Looking forward to the others. I will post
my projects on Flikr this weekend. Nothing spectacular but my first tries at different methods.

  2. Great interview with Keith Smith! New to your site, had fun surfing. Newby-type question, though. What’s Flikr?
