A little retrospection…

Filed under: Morning Musings — jackie @ 12:33 pm

Good morning readers.

I have a beef brisket marinating in the fridge, black eyed peas cooking in the crockpot and a batch of herb cheese daisies cooling on the rack in preparation for a New Year’s Eve feast at a friend’s house.

As the end of the old and beginning of the new year approaches I find myself thinking alot about the past year and all new people I have met and things that I have done.

I have made so many new friends over the past year from all over the world. (Isn’t the Internet an amazing thing?)

I want to thank all of you that have come to visit my little site. Those that have come and stayed, returning whenever I post no matter how meager it is. Those of you that come back every once in a while just to see what I am up to and those of you who are here for the first time.

I appreciate all the comments and encouragement that I have gotten throughout the year. Those posted on the site as well as those sent to me personally.  Knowing that you all appreciate my efforts makes it all so much sweeter.

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful New Year’s celebration.

See you in 2008!

  1. Black eyed peas! To a foreigner like me that is so evocative of the south.
Happy New Year. I hope you enjoyed your feast. I went to the Indian cheapie and had chaat and rawa dosa.

  2. Wendy,

Mmmm…I love Indian food. Yep black eyed peas are a southern thing. I always eat some for good luck as well as a bit of pork and sauerkraut for my northern roots. :) Gotta cover all the bases.
Happy New Year to you too!

  3. Yummy! LOVE, love beef brisket! Thanks for the link to the herb cheese daisy recipe I recently blogged! I hope you and your friends enjoyed them!

I just started blogging favorite recipes, especially recipes that evoke memories of the person who shared that recipe. It has been an interesting little trip down memory lane!

Let me know when you work on your dough bowl! I KNOW you can do it! Next thing you know, I may try book-making. I love your thoroughness! This and stained glass and spinning and weaving are on my TO LEARN list!

So much to learn; So little free time!
