Sunday morning coffee and dancing…

Filed under: Morning Musings — jackie @ 10:13 am

Good morning readers.

I feel like “Snoopy dancing” out in the yard today as the weather is cool and crisp and sunny. Ah fall. {sigh}  I’ll probably hold off on the public display of dancing as my neighbors already think I’m a little different. :D

More celebratory fall cooking…last night I cooked up a pot of winter squash soup and hot ham and cheese biscuits. (Did I mention that I was a southern girl?) I didn’t make the croutons the recipe calls for but I did grate some Asiago cheese on the soup after I ladled some in the bowls. It was yummy.

Of note:

Check out the interesting artists books on the website of Ellen Wallenstein. She is a photographer and book artist. Her Ellis Island self portraits are lovely as well.

I hope everyone has a great day.

  1. Jackie, you’re killing me with all the mentions of the food you’ve been making. Especially since I don’t cook or bake, I’m a sucker for homemade meals and baked goods.

We’re having the same problem here with weather. Just when I think it’s finally, really, absolutely fall, we’ll get a “summer” day. I’m heading to DC for a work project tomorrow and they’re scheduled to have a couple of 80-degree days. Aaaargghhhhh, as Charlie Brown would say!

  2. Jackie, are you still on the hunt for a messenger bag? Already know that video showing how to make your own from old plastic bags?

thought you might like it :-)
