My Mini Zine…

Filed under: Morning Musings — jackie @ 8:13 pm

Salutations dear readers.

I have been swamped with school work the past couple of days. Which, of course, has been keeping me from being able to post in the mornings. :(

One of the projects that I recently completed for my Visual Arts Foundations class was a mini Zine. The assignment was to describe and illustrate a process. For my process, I wrote out a description on how to make a mini Zine and illustrated it with hand drawn pictures.

I also made a mini Zine that is a little guide for making a hardcover book using individual sheets of paper and also illustrated it with hand drawn pictures. This is not a perfect binding technique. These books are great if you’re looking to bind pages of photographs that you’ve printed out onto a heavyweight matte paper. The books do not lie completely flat but they do open nicely for viewing. This binding style is perfect for skinny books. I use it to make parent books for weddings.

My Mini Zine

If you’d like a copy of my mini Zine, I am selling them for $5.00. Each copy is hand folded by me and gets delivered direct to your mailbox.  What’s even better is that all the money that I make from them will be going into my summer school fund. So help a girl continue her education by purchasing your very own copy. Click here to find out how.

A reminder, I will be drawing for the anniversary giveaway this Sunday the 30th. You get your name put in the jar each time you comment to one of my posts. Don’t miss out. You could be a winner. :)
