Jannette Heffernan has uploaded a new video on YouTube of Peter Goodwin demonstrating glueing techniques. Definately take a look as I always learn something new when watching his videos.

Also this is a nice video from SicPress on repairing a book with a broken hinge.

Fall is in the air…

Filed under: Morning Musings, gifts — jackie @ 8:36 am

Good morning readers…

I am still fighting this sinus infection but am feeling better than I was last week. Unfortunatley when I get one they like to hang on for what seems like forever.

On the good news front, it looks like fall might be on it’s way in to stay. Last night was “almost” cold. Definately cool enough for an extra blanket on the bed. I had the windows open all day yesterday getting cool air in and the stale summer air out.

To celebrate the cooler weather I made a big pot of homemade chili and skillet cornbread for dinner last night. Yes…I am a southern girl.

To be filed under the gifts for the book artist in your life category…

By way of Kate…the Romeo and Julienne cutting board

Of note:

Bookclasp.com offers alot of great examples of handmade and reproduction bookclasps.

The Canton public library has a long list of links to sites that offer information on the book arts.

Princeton Online has a great list of links for book arts as well as many papermaking links.

I hope everyone has a great day.
