I know some of you out there are itching for new book projects to make. Here are a few links to tutorials that you might like to try.

Here’s a little tutorial offered over on the blog five and a half. The book is done in a perfect binding and it uses photos for the covers and recycled papers for the insides.

Another fun little tutorial is by Comic Book author Toby Craig. His softcover books are made with a combination of sewing and perfect binding. Sometimes referred to as smythe-sewn books. This is a great tutorial if you have a little book you have written and would like to make multiples copies in a fairly simple binding.

Go forth and make books.

Site milestones!

Filed under: Announcements — jackie @ 7:24 am

Good morning all.

I’m happy to announce as of yesterday there have been over a thousand visitors during the month of February to the site. When I put this site up in March of 2006 we only had about 80 visitors for the whole month. That’s awesome as it means folks are finally finding out that we are here.

That brings me to another little announcement. This little site turns one year old in March. To celebrate, starting March 1st, we will have special features, weekly prize drawings and an end of the month grand prize drawing.  Stay tuned for more information as March draws nearer.

ps…if you’re wondering why the archives only go back to Sept. 2006 it’s because that’s when I changed the format of this site from a simple little html site to a blog format.
