Here is a book I made a while back. It was an old book on insects which I gutted and added a book block of heavy drawing paper. I added custom made bug endsheets and this sculpted face on the cover. I still need to do a little work on the cover as the face needs something surrounding it. Any suggestions?

Over the next few days I thought I’d post some photos of books I created in the past.

This one was a commissioned piece. It’s appox. 6″x8″ in size and is made of leather, fur, bone and metal. The inside pages are blank. The box with it is a custom made, velvet lined “cigar box” for the book to be stored in.

Here are a couple of photos of some guestbooks I just finished for a client. The covers are Duponi silk and the endsheets are a decorative Japanese paper. They are both the same as one is for a customer and one is to show prospective clients.
